Presidents Report
Thanks to John and Dave for a new concept in sweepstake chopping . Blocks came from Ngakawau
By the Tylers. Golden Bay by John Waters , from Lone Star farms by Dave McEwen and Steve Winters from Nelson. Thanks to Tony Dense for peeling the blocks free of charge. A great team effort. A
good afternoon of chopping by everyone at the Owen Hotel and pig hunt.
I feel there would be more
advantages if coaches of New persons, if they paid more attention to body
technique and weight into the blows in both underhand and standing. It can be
done.
All Nelson-Marlborough
chopping meetings appear to be ticking along as usual, thanks to the efforts of
those running the events.
We have a number of very
keen new Axemen in Nelson and I wish them all the best for their future.
Congratulations for their success in the past and wish them all the best for
the coming season.
Thanks to all the people and
establishments that have sponsored and helped in any way to promote wood
chopping throughout the Nelson-Marlborough and Golden Bays areas.
Thanks to Doreen for keeping the books and finance in hand, also to Don and Doreen for Handicapping
through out the Centre
